26 Weeks, 6 Days, & Counting!

26 Weeks & 5 Days pregnant

Hi Folks,

Just peeking my head in to say howdy!  It's been an eventful week – jam-packed with working, studying, and…. partying! :-) I had a great time at the National Mom's Nite Out event in Times Square this past Thursday.  The evening was filled with good food, laughter, entertainment, giveaways, and fellowshipping with many of my fav mom bloggers.  I usually don't go out on a week night but this truly was a special occasion!  Mom's Nite Out is the first nationally organized celebration just for moms, and I couldn't miss out on that! I didn't have a chance to upload photos to my Blogger Events album, but you can check them out in the meantime on my Facebook Fan Page.

The pregnancy is moving along…. quickly!  Good heavens, only 14 weeks left to go before Chase has a little brother!  Fortunately, most things are done around the house so it's really just a waiting game.  I had my glucose screening this past Monday and all was fine – that means, no gestational diabetes!  Also, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I'm still managing my weight nicely.  I've only gained 8 lbs since the start of this pregnancy!  Such a faaaar cry from the last pregnancy, but I'm back in control this time around and it feels good.

Other than that I'm just relaxing and enjoying my second Mother's Day weekend.  Chase is napping and Derek is out…. on a "mysterious" errand that we weren't allowed to go on. :-)  I hope he gets back soon though because I'm excited for him to put together Chase's new play kitchen set that we got him.  He had gotten so obsessed with our own kitchen that we figured he needed his own. So I hope he likes it!

I likely won't be on here or Twitter for the remainder of the weekend, so Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and soon-to-be-moms!  I hope you relax and enjoy the weekend, as I intend to do.

  4. First Happy Mother’s Day! I love the blog! And I’m so upset I missed the National Mom’s Night Out!! Thursday’s are school nites for me and really hard to make it out, especially into the city, but glad to hear it was a great event! Maybe next year!
